The Different Styles of Wedding Ceremonies
A wedding is an occasion where two individuals are legally bound to join together in matrimony. Wedding traditions and beliefs vary greatly between various cultures, religious groups, nationalities, states, and other social circles. There are literally hundreds of wedding traditions. A bride and groom typically select one of these traditions to be practiced when they get married.
The wedding itself is the most important part of the wedding, as it is the first glimpse that the guests have into what will be taking place in the newly married couple’s lives. It is important to spend time choosing the right venue for the wedding ceremony and reception. These days there are many wedding venues in various places around the world. Many couples choose to wed in cities with large wedding halls, while others prefer smaller chapels and churches. The most important aspect of the wedding ceremony is the exchange of wedding vows by the couple.
Some weddings are much more formal than others, while others are more casual and intimate. Some couples have pre-wedding parties, like a cocktail party before the wedding ceremony. These parties are usually attended by close friends of the couple before the actual wedding. At these parties, the friends and family of the couple offer gifts and support. Many couples even go to great lengths to make sure their families and friends are well taken care of after the wedding.
Traditionally, the wedding party is also called the bridal party. Bridesmaids and groomsmen were usually members of the immediate family of both the bride and groom. This group of people gave gifts to the wedding party and helped them on their way to the wedding. In some countries, the wedding guests were also welcome at the wedding ceremony. The wedding guests gave gifts to the bride and groom and their parents. The wedding cake was usually a fruit cake with cream or butter and dates.
Once at the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom take their seats facing each other in the front row. On the wedding day, there will usually be a band playing traditional songs. The wedding cake is served at the reception following the ceremony, where the couple dance the night away. This is the most formal part of a wedding, but some couples choose to make it more romantic by engaging in a reading of a poem.
